Lourdes is a small town situated in the foothills of the spectacular Pyrenean mountain range; the natural border between France and Spain.
Ever since the third apparition of Our Lady to Bernadette, people have flocked to the small grotto just outside the original town of Lourdes to pray.
Now, some 170 years later, Lourdes is known as one of the largest Marian shrines in the world. The domain covers 130-acres, including 22 chapels and churches and 3 remarkable basilicas: a pilgrimage to Lourdes is something everyone should experience at least once.
With our operational partner, Marian Pilgrimages (fully bonded and protected), we offer a series of pilgrimages each year to Lourdes. The pilgrimage includes accommodation in quality hotels close to the Sanctuary entrance, food, coach transfers and the presence of a highly experienced guide with infinite local knowledge and a dear devotion to Our Lady and Saint Bernadette.

Join like-minded Christians on a special pilgrimage to celebrate the Blessed Virgin Mary and Bernadette Soubirous in the very place the apparitions took place back in 1858. Father Ryan Holovlasky of the Irish Redemptorists will lead our pilgrimage, assisted by a local expert from BernadetteOfLourdes.com guiding you through each stage of Bernadette’s life. A representative of Marian Pilgrimages will also be on hand to assist us.
Day 1 - Saturday 31st May 2025
Meet at London Stansted Airport at 8am for our short morning flight to south-west France. We will arrive into Tarbes-Lourdes Airport at 13:05. A short 20min transfer gets us to our hotel where we can relax over a welcome drink. Father Ryan will open the pilgrimage by saying our first mass. Afterwards we will be given an orientation tour of the Sanctuary followed by dinner and then the option to join the 9pm torchlight procession.
Day 2 – Sunday 1st June 2025
A guided tour of the town of Lourdes, known as the ‘Footsteps of Bernadette’, by a specialistBernadetteOfLourdes.com team-member. The walking tour includes a detailed history on Bernadette and the apparitions plus a visit to the Parish church We finish at the cemetery where the Soubirous family are buried.
Day 3 – Monday 2nd June 2025
After mass enjoy some free time to visit the baths, confessionals or for private prayer. Optional visit includes Pic du Jer or Fortress of Lourdes. After lunch we will visit the Museum of Miracles in the Sanctuary for an exclusive presentation on the miracles, followed by a short video.Take part in the 5pm Eucharistic procession which takes place each day in the Sanctuary, concluding with the blessing of the sick in the Basilica of Pope Pius X.
Day 4 – Tuesday 3rd June 2025
Today's visits include an excursion to the Pyrenean town of Gavarnie. After lunch, head to the ancient former benedictine Abbey of St. Savin in the Pyrenees where Mass will be celebrated. Enjoy the panoramic Pyrenean views of St Savin. Conclude the excursion with a visit to the village of Bartrés for a Blessing of the Sick and veneration of the holy relic of Saint Bernadette.
Day 5 - Wednesday 4th June 2025
After breakfast and checking out of our rooms we will visit the monastery of the Carmelite sisters of Lourdes to pray the Rosary in their chapel overlooking the Grotto. Fr. Ryan will close the pilgrimage with a final mass where he will bless all religious items purchased during the trip. After some time to say your goodbye’s to the Grotto, we will head for the airport for our afternoon flight back to London.
